About Us
One of the founders of fashion in Aotearoa, Sandra Harden has been creating limited edition collections of covetable clothing for over forty years, under her signature label Wallace Rose. Wallace Rose emerged on the Auckland fashion scene in the early 1980's with a unique look focusing on intelligent design, unique use of fabric and well cut quality garments. Quickly growing in popularity and prestige, Sandra was one of the only four designers invited to showcase her label at Australian Mercedes Fashion week in 1996 and 1997 with a solo show -the event that launched New Zealand fashion to global recognition.
Preferring a boutique approach, the label still resides in its original Ponsonby location. Each Wallace Rose garment is cut in small runs and manufactured locally in-season with a small dedicated team. Each collection builds on the previous and the label is loved for its exclusivity, longevity and seasonless approach that withstands the test of time.
A heritage destination boutique in Ponsonby Auckland, Wallace Rose also includes a selection of imported clothing and accessories from international like-minded labels and a collection of antique and curio objects, Sandra's take on homewares, all only available at the Wallace Rose store.
Wallace Rose is proudly made in Aotearoa.
